Do you ever know that Barsapara Cricket Stadium  is known as Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Cricket Stadium, as well  as Assam Cricket Association Stadium.

    Located at Barsapara, Guwahati, Kamrup Metro Assam, India, this stadium is used for cricket.The largest sports facility in Northeast India is this one. India's 49th international cricket venue is the Cricket Stadium. The cost of building the stadium as a whole exceeded Rs 2300 crore. Sarbananda Sonowal, the chief minister of Assam, gave it his blessing on October 10. India and Australia's T20I match was the first international cricket game played in this location.

    Earlier the stadium's foundation stone was placed by the then-chief minister Tarun Gogoi in June 2004. In the presence of the then-BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah, he did it again in July 2007 for the stadium's club house and stand.

    In honour of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, the Assam Cricket Association changed the stadium's name in 2010.

1.   1st ODI-    2017, 10 October    - India vs Australia

Australia won by 8 wickets with 27 balls remaining.  Which was the first international T20 match in this Stadium.

2   1st T20 Men-    2018, 21 October    - India vs West Indies  

India won by 8 wickets with 47 balls remaining. Which was the first international ODI match in this Stadium.

3.   1st T20 Women-2019, 04 March     - India vs England

England Women won India women team by 41 runs. Which was the first international Women T20.

4.    T20 Women 2019, 09 March - India vs England

England Women team won by 1 run.

5.   T20 Men- 2020, 05 January     - India vs Sri Lanka

No result, The match was abandoned due to heavy rain.

Last International cricket matches in Barsapara-

        The second T20I India vs South Africa was played on October 2, 2022 in Barsapara Cricket stadium. This a series of 3 numbers of T20 matches ,where India leads 1-0 . This South Africa Tour of India 2022 is an international Bilateral series.
